Deputies arrived at a nearby intersection, Forest Hill‑Irene and Walnut Grove, and stopped a car with Adams inside.He was suffering from a gunshot wound and later pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people, men in their late teens or early twenties, also suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to hospitals by private vehicles; none are in critical condition.
