Couple, two agents arrested for duping customers in trading scam

The Central Zone police busted a private trading company for allegedly collecting money from customers and duping them. They arrested a couple and two agents belonging to the firm, on Tuesday.

Police arrested Tadepalli Sri Venkata Aditya, his wife T. Sujatha and agents Gadamsetti Balakrishna Murthy and his wife, G. Nagalakshmi Kumari, all natives of Vijayawada.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Aditya established Advika Trading Company in 2022, and collected close to ₹400 crore from 1,450 customers, said Police Commissioner S.V. Rajashekar Babu. The accused had absconded by closing the company recently. Following a complaint by a customer, the police registered a case and arrested the accused, the Police Commissioner said.
