The 4th Telangana State Conference of the Communist Party of India (CPI) will be held for three days from Wednesday (August 20) to Friday (August 22) at the Maharaja Gardens in Gajularamaram in the city.
The conference will be inaugurated by CPI National General Secretary D. Raja while national leaders, including CPI National Secretaries K. Narayana and Syed Aziz along with Andhra Pradesh CPI Secretary K. Ramakrishna and CPI(M) State Secretary John Wesley, will attend as special guests.
The event will begin with a Red Flag March from Jeedimetla Police Station to the venue. Senior CPI leaders and Telangana Armed Struggle veterans will hoist the red flag followed by the unveiling of a Martyrs’ Memorial.
More than 743 delegates along with senior leaders and special invitees will participate in the conference.
State Secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao will present the agenda and propose various committees.
CPI National General Secretary D. Raja will address the delegates on international and national political developments, followed by the State Secretary’s report on party activities and political issues since the last conference.
A photo exhibition on the Telangana Armed Peasant Struggle has been arranged at the venue, depicting the historic fight for land, food, and freedom from bonded labour and Razakar atrocities.
