The three-year partnership will improve access to livelihood schemes, subsidised finance, training, and market-linked opportunities in Haryana.

NEW DELHI (India CSR): PepsiCo India, a food and beverage company, has partnered with the Haryana State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HSRLM) and Indus Action under its RevolutioNari initiative to support 1.1 lakh Potential Lakhpati Didis over three years by strengthening access to livelihood schemes, subsidised finance, skill-building and market-linked opportunities under the Government’s Lakhpati Didi Yojana.

Announced on June 9, 2026, the initiative seeks to help Self-Help Group (SHG) women move towards sustainable annual household incomes of more than Rs. 1 lakh. The programme is anchored in PepsiCo India’s Partnership of Progress philosophy.

The partnership will focus on building a stronger ecosystem for rural women. It will connect eligible women with government schemes, productive assets, credit support, training and enterprise opportunities.

Partnership to Strengthen Scheme Access

The Lakhpati Didi Yojana is a national initiative aimed at empowering SHG women by linking them with government schemes across departments. These include Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development and Women Development.

Through skill development, access to finance and enterprise support, the programme aims to help women build sustainable income-generating livelihoods.

Under the partnership, PepsiCo India, HSRLM and Indus Action will work to improve access to cash transfers, subsidised productive assets such as cattle, and structured skill-building opportunities.

The initiative will also focus on simplifying access pathways and strengthening last-mile delivery.

Focus on Women-Led Livelihoods

Yashika Singh, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Sustainability Head, PepsiCo India and South Asia, said the initiative is focused on strengthening systems that can make livelihood schemes more accessible and outcome-driven.

“At PepsiCo India, we believe that empowering women economically, under RevolutioNari initiative, creates a multiplier effect across families and communities. Through this partnership with HSRLM and Indus Action, we are focused on strengthening systems that make livelihood schemes more accessible, transparent, and outcome driven,” she said.

She added that the collaboration will combine institutional partnership, technology enablement and community-led outreach.

“By combining institutional collaboration, technology enablement, and community-led outreach, we aim to enable more women to transition into sustainable income pathways and emerge as leaders within their communities. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to inclusive growth and long-term social impact,” Singh said.

Digital Eligibility Engine to Identify Beneficiaries

HSRLM said the use of digital tools will help identify eligible SHG women and connect them with suitable government credit and livelihood schemes.

Suraj Bhan, CEO, Haryana State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HSRLM), said the Lakhpati Didi initiative is an important effort to increase income opportunities for rural women through collective enterprise and entrepreneurship.

“Using a digital Scheme Eligibility Matching Engine, we can identify and connect eligible Self-Help Group (SHG) women with relevant government credit and livelihood schemes. This has enabled us to reach out more proactively to beneficiaries and improve their access to livelihood opportunities,” he said.

The use of technology is expected to support more targeted outreach. It will help align schemes with women’s eligibility, skills and livelihood aspirations.

Indus Action to Support Last-Mile Delivery

Indus Action will implement the programme in collaboration with PepsiCo India and HSRLM.

Tarun Cherukuri, Founder and CEO, Indus Action, said the partnership is aimed at strengthening last-mile delivery and helping women access opportunities under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana.

“The partnership with PepsiCo India and HSRLM represents a shared commitment to strengthening last-mile delivery and ensuring that women can fully access the opportunities envisioned under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana,” he said.

He added that institutional convergence, data-driven systems design and community engagement will help improve delivery.

“Institutional convergence, data-driven systems design, and community engagement are helping align scheme access with women’s individual eligibility and aspirations, while strengthening grievance redressal and tracking mechanisms. Together, this approach enables more effective, transparent, and accountable delivery of public programmes,” Cherukuri said.

Assessment Identified Delivery Gaps

According to the release, an assessment involving more than 100 stakeholders identified areas where scheme delivery can be strengthened.

These include better coordination between departments, streamlined loan processes, stronger market linkages, more personalised training pathways and structured grievance redressal mechanisms.

Based on these insights, the programme will focus on institutional convergence, process simplification, technology integration, digital progress tracking and grievance redressal.

The institutional convergence component will link SHGs with line departments, skilling partners, financial institutions and market actors. It will be supported by standard operating procedures.

The process simplification component will standardise scheme and loan application processes across departments and financial institutions.

The technology component will deploy a scheme-matching Eligibility Engine. This will help align livelihood opportunities with women’s skills, aspirations and eligibility criteria.

A digital portal will also be developed to track application journeys, monitor scheme access and support data-driven decision-making.

A grievance redressal system will be established to report, track and resolve beneficiary concerns.

Women Share Early Livelihood Experiences

The release also cited examples from SHG women in Gurugram who have accessed schemes and livelihood support.

Saroj from Shankar Mahila SHG, Gurugram, said the Lakhpati Didi Yojana had helped increase income and support family expenses.

“Lakhpati didi yojana se आय bhi badh rahi hai, kharcha bhi kar pa rahe hain. Bache padha paaye, ab dono bachiyan apni naukri pe lagi hain,” she said.

According to the release, Saroj was linked with schemes including Vita and PMFME.

Manjeet from Narishakti SHG, Gurugram, said training and loan support helped her expand her papad, achar and ladoo work.

“Free of cost training li aur loan leke apne papad, achar, ladoo ka kaam badhaya. Acha feel hota hai, ek motivation ata hai ki apne paer par khade hai aur kisi se maangne ki zarurat nahi hoti warna husband sas sasur se maangne hote hain. Ab mere bacho ko koi bhi samaan chahiye hota hai to papa ki jagha mujhse maangte hai. Ab self-dependent ho gayi hoon,” she said.

The release stated that she was linked with Animal Husbandry and Individual Loan Scheme support.

Community Outreach and Scalable Model

The partnership will use convergence platforms at district and block levels to implement the initiative at scale.

Community Resource Persons will support personalised outreach. Technology-enabled channels such as IVRS, SMS and call centres will be used to ensure regular last-mile engagement.

Beyond access to schemes, the initiative also aims to strengthen women’s financial decision-making skills and expand their market access.

The partners said the programme could help create a model for supporting women-led economic growth through better institutional coordination, technology-enabled delivery and community-level engagement.

The initiative has relevance for CSR, women’s economic empowerment, rural livelihoods and public programme delivery. Its stated focus is to strengthen access to existing government schemes and improve the ability of SHG women to build sustainable income pathways.
