Cybersecurity is every person’s responsibility, says Vijayawada DRM

Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya said that cybersecurity and awareness was not just a necessity, but a responsibility of each and every person.

Participating in the concluding programme of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month-2025 themed ‘Cyber Jagrit Bharat’ here on Monday, the DRM said that safe digital practices being implemented by the officers and staff would strengthen the online platforms of the Indian Railways.

“The month-long campaign on cybersecurity focussed on promoting awareness among the railway employees on safe digital practices,” Mr. Mohit Sonakiya said. He also complimented the Signal and Telecom (S&T) Department for conducting various awareness programmes and competitions on cybersecurity.

Quiz, poster making, and essay writing competitions were organised for the employees during the awareness drive. The DRM, along with Additional DRM (Operations) Srinivas Rao Konda and Senior Divisional Signal and Telecom Engineer P. Satish Shankar presented prizes to the winners in various events.
