The Severe Cyclonic Storm Montha over coastal Andhra Pradesh moved northwestwards with a speed of 10 kmph, the IMD said in a bulletin.

Due to this, all schools and anganwadi centres shall remain closed in multiple districts on Wednesday, October 29.
In Odisha, too, school holidays have been declared in 11 districts, including Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, and Khorda.
Due to the cyclone’s impact in Tamil Nadu, schools in Chennai will remain closed as well.
