Jana Sena Party (JSP) political affairs committee chairman and State Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar has called upon all party leaders, Jana sainiks and Veera Mahilas to take the lead in relief-and-rescue operations as cyclone Montha approaches the Andhra Pradesh coast. He urged the party ranks to actively cooperate with the government machinery to minimise the cyclone’s impact and ensure public safety.
Addressing a teleconference with Jana Sena MPs, MLAs, MLCs, corporation chairpersons, and grassroots workers on Tuesday morning (October 28, 2025), Mr. Manohar emphasised that the party’s field-level volunteers must work with a clear action plan to prevent loss of lives.

Following the directions of Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan, Mr. Manohar instructed party cadres to remain available to the public in cyclone-hit areas and assist government officials in all possible ways. He urged party representatives to spread awareness about official safety guidelines and precautionary measures among the public.
Highlighting government initiatives, Mr. Manohar announced that the State has decided to distribute tarpaulins free of charge to farmers to protect their crops from rain damage. “Earlier, tarpaulins were provided at a 50% subsidy; this time, the coalition government has taken a decision to offer them completely free,” he said.

He recalled that Mr. Pawan Kalyan personally interacted with distressed farmers during the previous regime and took note of their struggles.
The Minister also revealed that paddy procurement has already begun, and officials have been instructed to purchase even rain-soaked grain. Additionally, in view of the cyclone’s impact, the government has decided to release November ration supplies in advance to all households.
Mr. Manohar urged Jana Sena leaders to ensure there is no shortage of petrol or diesel, and to keep generators ready for emergency use. He directed party representatives to continue supporting citizens even after the cyclone passes, until normalcy is restored in affected regions.

During the teleconference, Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, MLC K. Nagababu, and Government whip in the Legislative Council Pidugu Hariprasad also participated. Mr. Hariprasad stressed that party cadres must form small service teams of 15-20 members in each coastal area to carry out coordinated relief work, particularly in places such as Kakinada and Pithapuram.
He noted that local Jana sainiks have already set up whatsapp groups and help lines to respond quickly to distress calls. “The next two days are crucial. We must work as one team to ensure there is no loss of life,” Mr. Hariprasad said.
Mr. Nagababu added that, as per Pawan Kalyan’s directions, Jana Sena volunteers will not only help deliver services but also keep people informed and alert about evolving weather conditions.
