Lakshmi Manchu speaks for women in cinema
In other news, Lakshmi Manchu is known for her outspoken nature in the film circle. In September, she was in the news after she spoke about the challenges faced by women in the film industry. She addressed the bias against female actors post-divorce. While speaking with Great Andhra, she spoke about a superstar's ex-wife, who has struggled to find work after the divorce due to industry pressures and fears of backlash from the ex-husband. While she didn't name names, speculation pointed towards actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, but she did not confirm it.
