Dana White confirms Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford set to become one of the biggest fights in boxing history

Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are set to face each other in a huge boxing match. Dana White, who was helping promote the fight, confirmed that this fight is now the third-largest live gate in boxing history, just behind Floyd Mayweather’s big fights with Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor.

The bout is scheduled for September 13, 2025, and is expected to draw a massive live crowd at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Dana White, who was involved in promoting the fight under the TKO Boxing brand, confirmed via social media that the live gate, the total money from ticket sales, is now the third highest ever in boxing, trailing only behind Mayweather vs. Pacquiao and Mayweather vs. McGregor.

Originally, this event was promoted by TKO Boxing, a joint venture including Dana White and Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.

But later, Dana White was removed as promoter, and the event is now being promoted by Sela for Riyadh Season. The location may still be in Las Vegas, or possibly Los Angeles or New York, with the fight no longer planned for Netflix but rather pay-per-view.

Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford brings undisputed titles on the line

Canelo Alvarez is one of the greatest champions alive. He has won titles in four weight classes and is currently the undisputed super-middleweight champion. Terence Crawford is unbeaten with a record of 41–0, and he has been undisputed before.

Now he moves up to super-middleweight to challenge Canelo for all the belts. Crawford himself believes this fight could even surpass the Mayweather-Pacquiao numbers if fans go wild for it. Ring Magazine’s Richard Schaefer, who helped promote the old Mayweather-Canelo fight, said he’s never seen a fight bigger than Canelo versus Crawford in the last 25 years. Allegiant Stadium is already seeing suite prices at $40,000, showing how big this fight has become.
