Dana White, the head of the UFC, has confirmed that a historic fight night will take place on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C. in June 2026. The event is planned with Donald Trump to mark 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

White said fighters may even walk out from the Oval Office into the Octagon. The fight week will turn the nation’s capital into a stage for fans, concerts, and UFC stars.

Dana White met with President Donald Trump at the White House in August 2025 to confirm the details. White revealed on Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson’s Nightcap podcast that the fight will happen on the South Lawn, with fewer than 5,000 guests allowed in that area.A nearby park will hold 85,000 fans watching on giant screens. Dana White explained: “Do you know what’s probably the most badass thing about that? The fighters will actually walk from the Oval Office into the Octagon.”

The White House event is expected to last an entire week. Press conferences and weigh-ins will happen at the Lincoln Memorial, which is under renovation for a new museum and visitor center. The National Mall will host fan activities, including autograph sessions with UFC fighters and setups where people can try punching bags.

White said the UFC plans to “take over Washington, D.C. for a week” with concerts, shows, and celebrations.

Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, who practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu and follows the UFC, joined planning calls with White and the president in August 2025. She will help shape the event. Though no official fights have been confirmed yet, fighters like Conor McGregor and Jon Jones are said to be interested.
