Ahead of the annual Dasara festivities, the Mysuru Palace garden is getting a facelift to attract the large number of tourists during the celebrations.

The lawns and gardens are being adorned with a variety of flowering and ornamental plants, while gardeners and the horticulture wing of the Mysuru Palace Board are busy preparing the premises to welcome visitors.

The entire palace complex is being beautified to greet the crowd, as the city’s iconic monument becomes the cynosure of all eyes when Mysuru comes alive for the festival.

Meanwhile, the Dasara elephants led by Abhimanyu have already begun training for the grand Jamboo Savari, even as city beautification works, including road repairs in core areas, are under way.

The Palace will host cultural programmes, featuring artistes of national and international repute, who perform before connoisseurs of music against the impressive backdrop of the illuminated palace.
