Iran on Thursday once again expressed its deepest condolences to the families of those killed in the terrorist car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, strongly condemning “terrorism in all its forms and manifestations."

The blast, which took place on the evening of November 10, has claimed 13 lives, with several others still receiving treatment in hospitals.

In a post on X, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India said it “once again expresses its deepest sympathy to the Government and the families of the victims of the terrorist car explosion near the #RedFort area in New Delhi, and wishes a swift recovery for those injured in this tragic incident."

This latest message follows an earlier statement on the day of the blast, in which Iran conveyed sorrow over the loss of life and injuries and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families.

“The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India expresses its deep sorrow over the loss of lives and injuries of several Indian citizens in the car blast incident in Delhi, and extends its sincere condolences to the Government and the people of the Republic of India. The Embassy also conveys its heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families of the victims and wishes patience and comfort for them, as well as a speedy recovery for those injured in this tragic incident," the message read.

On Wednesday, the government confirmed that the car explosion, which initially killed eight people and wounded at least 20, is being treated as a “terror incident" and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice as swiftly as possible. The blast marks the first such incident in Delhi, a city of more than 30 million, since 2011.

Authorities are investigating the explosion under strict anti-terrorism laws, examining all possible angles, but have not yet named any suspects or made arrests.
