His wife, Indulekha, said he had been under mental stress during a recent visit to their hometown in Palakkad and had briefly taken prescribed medication

A 47-year-old Defence Security Corps (DSC) guard at Sulur Airforce base near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, identified as Sanu, died by suicide on Sunday morning, officials said. Sanu reportedly shot himself with an AK-103 rifle around 6.10 am.
According to a complaint filed by his wife, Indulekha, Sanu had recently visited their hometown in Palakkad, where he appeared to be under mental stress. A doctor had prescribed medication, which he reportedly discontinued after two days.
Indulekha said that after returning to duty on October 12, Sanu had again mentioned experiencing mental stress during a video call. Tragically, she received the news of his death early Sunday.
Sulur Police have registered a case under Section 194 BNSS and launched an investigation into the incident.
