FARIDABAD: As the investigation into the Delhi blast deepens, officials found Maruti Suzuki Brezza near Al Falah University in Faridabad.Umar Un Nabi, whose identity as the Old Delhi bomber was confirmed through DNA testing, and his group had planned a “spectacular terror attack” involving multiple vehicle-borne IEDs followed by assault rifle fire, according to security sources.
The module had acquired three vehicles for the operation — a Hyundai i20, a red Ford EcoSport, and a Maruti Brezza.

While the i20 was detonated near Red Fort, police issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) alert for the other two vehicles, suggesting the group may have concealed additional explosives. The EcoSport, registered in Delhi with a number ending 0458, was recovered on Wednesday in Faridabad. Sources indicated that Umar was responsible for procuring the cars. Investigations have also revealed that the group had targeted locations beyond Delhi, including Ayodhya, with a planned attack on 25 November during the hoisting of a saffron flag at the Ram temple. The suspects reportedly had assembled a mixture of ammonium nitrate and RDX, although it is not yet confirmed if this was used in the i20 blast. Security agencies said the plot originated in Turkey in 2022, with Umar operating under the guidance of a Turkey-based handler, known by the codename Ukasa.
