Dr Shaheen Saeed, the Lucknow-based doctor arrested for her alleged links to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group and her suspected role in this week’s Delhi blast, had professional endorsements on LinkedIn from several foreign accounts, including one reportedly belonging to a senior Pakistani Army doctor, sources have revealed to News18.
According to these sources, Dr Saeed’s LinkedIn profile lists endorsements from doctors based in Saudi Arabia and India, but what has drawn investigators’ attention is one endorsement from Dr Pervez ul Hassan, a Pakistani medical professional with a military background.

As per his publicly available LinkedIn profile, Pervez ul Hassan has been Head of the Examination Cell at CMH (Combined Military Hospital) Lahore Medical College, operated by the Pakistan Army, since 2022. Before that, he served for five years, from June 2017 to July 2022, as Director of Academics and Administration at the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS), Bahawalpur, which, according to its official website, is among the “medical colleges being run under the dependable patronage of Pakistan Army."
His professional history also includes key military roles—Commanding Officer at Military Hospital Rahim Yar Khan between 2001 and 2003 and Deputy Commandant at Military Hospital, Gujranwala Cantt between 2004 and 2007.
The endorsement from a Pakistan Army-linked doctor, sources said, has raised red flags within the investigating agencies, given Dr Saeed’s alleged involvement in the Red Fort-Delhi blast case and her proximity to Dr Muzammil Ganaie, another accused described as the mastermind of a terror module.
Thirteen people were killed and over 20 others were injured when a car exploded near a traffic signal close to the Red Fort Metro station on November 10. The car was being driven by Dr Umar Mohammed, alias Umar un-Nabi, a Kashmiri doctor working at the Al Falah University in Faridabad.
Dr Saeed, 42, taught at Al-Falah University, and she was found to have links with the “white collar" terror module. Her arrest followed the recovery of 2,900 kilograms of explosive material from two rented rooms in Faridabad, allegedly belonging to Ganaie, also known by the alias Musaib, who served as a faculty member at the same university.
Investigators claim Ganaie had ties to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, and that Dr Saeed worked with him to recruit educated women into Jamaat-ul-Mominaat, the women’s wing of JeM. The Pakistan-based organisation is reportedly headed by Sadia Azhar, the sister of JeM chief Masood Azhar.
During a search of Dr Saeed’s Maruti Swift car registered in Faridabad, police reportedly recovered an assault rifle, a pistol, and several rounds of ammunition.
Sources said Dr Shaheen Saeed’s LinkedIn links, especially the endorsement from a Pakistani military officer who worked in Bahawalpur, coupled with her alleged ties to the Jaish-e-Mohammed, also headquartered in Bahawalpur, point to deeper cross-border connections and have led investigators to scrutinise her online activity more closely.
Dr Saeed remains in custody as agencies continue to investigate her role in the New Delhi blast and her reported efforts to expand JeM’s footprint in India.
