Delhi gangster Salman Tyagi found hanging in Mandoli jail

NEW DELHI: A gangster identified as Salman Tyagi was found dead in Delhi’s Mandoli jail on Saturday in what police say was an apparent suicide. Tyagi, who was lodged in jail number 15, was found hanging from a noose in his cell this morning, officials confirmed. Police have launched an inquiry into the incident.

Tyagi faced several criminal cases, including murder, extortion, and charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
