NEW DELHI: Delhi high court on Wednesday granted bail to “human rights” activist Khurram Parvez held in judicial custody for over four years in a UAPA case for alleged terror funding, conspiracy to wage war against India, and recruitment of youths for LeT.
Observing the “long period of incarceration and no likelihood of the trial ending soon”, Justices Navin Chawla and Ravinder Dudeja granted bail to Parvez. “He was taken into custody in the present case on Nov 22, 2021,” said the court.
