Delhi horror: Man throws chemical on estranged wife; she suffers burns, accused arrested

NEW DELHI: A man was arrested for allegedly throwing a chemical-like substance on his estranged wife following an argument in East Delhi's Pandav Nagar. The incident occurred on Aug 12, police said.The woman, who filed the complaint, told cops that she had been living with her mother in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 along with her four children.On the day of the attack, her husband went to her mother's home around 3:30 pm and asked her to return to his house, but she refused. Later, around 5:20 pm, while she was walking to work near Kotla Village main road, her husband allegedly followed her and threw a chemical substance on her face.

A friend accompanying the woman helped rinse the substance with water. She was rushed to a hospital. Medical reports confirmed redness, burns, and a burning sensation on her cheeks, chest, arms, and thighs.
