Delhi horror: MBBS student invited to hotel ‘party’; drugged, raped and filmed, accused on run

NEW DELHI: An 18-year-old MBBS student was allegedly raped by a 20-year-old man after he invited her to a hotel in Adarsh Nagar on the pretext of attending a party. A case has been registered at Adarsh Nagar Police Station.According to Delhi Police, the complaint was filed on Thursday by the 18-year-old student, a Haryana native currently pursuing her medical studies in the national capital.In her statement, she alleged that the accused — a resident of Jind, Haryana — invited her to a hotel in Adarsh Nagar on the pretext of attending a party. There, he allegedly administered intoxicants, wrongfully confined her, and sexually assaulted her.

The complainant further claimed that the accused was accompanied by some associates who helped him forcibly take obscene photos and videos of her, which were later used to blackmail and threaten her.She also alleged that the accused repeatedly coerced her into meeting him and subjected her to continued sexual assault, harassment, and intimidation.Police have registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita (BNS), and an investigation is currently underway.(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)(With agencies inputs)
