Delhi Police has arrested 6 individuals from Delhi and Punjab who are accused of being linked to Pakistan's gangster turned terrorist, Shahzad Bhatti. They also recovered firearms.

Delhi Police on Monday busted a terror module linked with Shahzad Bhatti, a Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist. Six people were arrested in the operation which was carried out in Delhi and Punjab.
Several firearms, petrol bombs, and vehicles were recovered by the police in the operation, according to a report by the IANS. The module was reportedly conspiring to throw bombs in crowded areas and had also done a recce for that purpose. They passed on all this information to Shahzad Bhatti.
Of the six arrested people, two were reportedly held from Delhi.
Who Is Shahzad Bhatti?
Shahzad is a Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist who is also alleged to be involved in smuggling drugs into India. Indian Intelligence has linked him to several terror-related and other criminal cases.
He has been accused of conspiring terror attacks in Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Punjab. Bhatti, allegedly, has made use of social media to target and recruit Indian youth to carry out these terror attacks.
Bomb Attack Conspiracies
Several youths have been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly being linked Shahzad Bhatti’s network. He would reportedly recruit these people to put up posters of ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan’ for an amount as low as Rs. 5,000.
For targeted killings of police personnel, Bhatti would allegedly pay these youths Rs. 3 lakhs, according to police sources quoted in a report by ThePrint.
Last month, twelve individuals were arrested for being linked to Bhatti’s network. Some of them, arrested from Delhi-NCR, were identified as Anas, Karanveer Singh and Mohit, Deepak Agrola, Arif and Sabir, and Jatan.
Some of the arrested worked as a vegetable vendor, money lender, or Biryani seller.
In February, this year, two Punjab police personnel were shot dead by assailants in the border village of Adhian. Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan had claimed responsibility for that attack.
