NEW DELHI: One person died and another sustained injuries after a vehicle struck two individuals near 11 Murti on Mother Teresa Road in New Delhi on Sunday.Delhi Police confirmed the incident stating: "One person is dead, and another injured, after they were hit by a car on 11 Murti Road earlier today.

The car driver has been detained.

"During their investigation, police discovered a liquor bottle inside the vehicle. A forensic team is currently examining the bottle to determine if alcohol was a factor in the accident.

The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
