Delhi witnessed an extremely uncomfortable night on Sunday as the humidity levels in the city soared to high levels across the national capital. Although the temperature recorded at Safdarjung at 5.30 am was 28.6 degrees, due to high humid conditions, the temperature felt like 32 degrees. The humidity recorded in the city was at 70 per cent on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, mercury levels also continued to rise in the Jammu region, with Samba and Jammu city recording a high of 43.9 and 42.7 degrees Celsius respectively, according to a report by PTI.
The region has been reeling from an extreme heatwave for the past three days, with temperatures consistently rising above the 40-degree Celsius mark.
