Speaking with ClutchPoints reporter DJ Siddiqi, Curry commented on 22-year-old forward Jonathan Kuminga and the trade decisions the Warriors are now considering.
Curry believes Kuminga has value across the league. He said, “They've got to figure out... He has value around the league, whether they want to re-sign him or use him to bring more value.”Jonathan Kuminga will enter restricted free agency this summer. He has made it clear he wants to become a star in the league, whether that’s with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler in Golden State or elsewhere. With that, he’s become a hot name in trade talks, especially as teams look for young athletic forwards.
According to reports from ClutchPoints, Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy is exploring all options, including a sign-and-trade deal that could send Kuminga to a team where he could be the lead player.

Jonathan Kuminga had a strong playoff performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 20.8 points and 3.0 rebounds over five games. During the 2024-25 NBA regular season, he played in 47 games and posted averages of 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds.

Several teams, including the Sacramento Kings and Brooklyn Nets, are reportedly interested in Kuminga. Conversations with Sacramento have taken place in recent weeks, according to ClutchPoints.
The Kings offered a package that included 2024 NBA Draft pick Devin Carter. However, sources say the Warriors want a big man in return, something the 6-foot-2 point guard can’t provide.With Stephen Curry turning 38 before the 2025-26 season, and Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler also aging, the Warriors are under pressure.
