The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has introduced a new framework for conducting Comprehensive Special Audits, aimed at strengthening oversight and enhancing aviation safety standards.
According to the DGCA, the revamped framework adopts a risk-based and integrated approach designed to proactively identify systemic vulnerabilities, improve sectoral resilience, and ensure rigorous compliance with both International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and India’s national aviation objectives.
