The image began circulating after a Facebook post by user Scott Mandel falsely said Treinen wore the hat “during the World Series.” Several pages, including The Dodgers TOP, then reposted the same image, spreading the wrong information further.

The photo is real, but it’s old. During the September 12, 2025 game in San Francisco, Blake Treinen wore a special white hat with “Charlie Kirk” written on it and two small Christian crosses. This was to honor Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), who was shot and killed on September 10 during an event at Utah Valley University.

According to Fox News, Blake Treinen, who is known for his strong Christian faith, wore the tribute hat as a personal gesture. Musician Sean Feucht shared photos and a short video from that game on Instagram, writing:“My friend and pitcher for the Dodgers, Blake Treinen, played with this on his hat last night.”

Feucht later posted another video from October 8, showing Treinen giving the hat away after a game against the Philadelphia Phillies, and thanked him for “remembering Charlie Kirk tonight.”
