Brock Lesnar will forever be counted among the greats, as he had a stellar resume and an astonishing career in the promotion. Of course, nothing lasts forever, and things go on. After his loss to Oba Femi, it appears that he is all set to say goodbye to his wrestling career.Lesnar showed his rare side; he appeared to be in tears and with a heavy heart. Certainly, it was a rare sight for any WWE fan. Fans inside Allegiant Stadium watched closely as one of WWE’s most dominant figures stood still, almost reflective, before making a gesture that instantly shifted the mood in the arena. It didn’t come with a speech or a formal announcement. Instead, it came through silence, body language, and a series of actions that longtime viewers recognize all too well.

The moment arrived right after his defeat to Oba Femi. Brock Lesnar sat up, stared ahead, then slowly removed his gloves. A pause followed. Then the boots came off. He placed both in the center of the ring, kissed the mat, and embraced Paul Heyman. The crowd responded with a mix of shock and appreciation as Lesnar waved before walking away.
Ariel Helwani captured the emotion of the scene: “An emotional Brock Lesnar has removed his gloves and shoes after losing to Oba Femi at Mania.
He put them in the middle of the ring and waved to the crowd. And then a big hug with his long-time friend, Paul Heyman. Is this really it? Sure seemed that way.”Even within the industry, the reaction was immediate. Kurt Angle wrote, “Love you my brother. There will only be one like you. Enjoy retirement Brock.” Mark Kaboly added, “Brock Lesnar sure doesn't seem to be a guy who will come back for one more match. This one will be talked about for ages. #wrestlemania”Still, WWE has not confirmed anything officially.
Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in WrestleMania 42
The match itself told a surprising story. Oba Femi controlled long stretches and absorbed Lesnar’s signature offense, including the F5. That alone raised eyebrows. The finish came when Femi delivered a chokeslam followed by a powerful Fall From Grace to secure a decisive pin.Reports suggest Lesnar personally chose Femi as his opponent months ago, which adds another layer to the result. If this was meant to pass the torch, it did so in a dramatic way.
Still, the one-sided nature of the finish left some questioning whether a legend like Lesnar deserved a more competitive farewell.Michael Cole hinted during commentary that this “could probably be goodbye,” though he stopped short of confirming anything.

Brock Lesnar's WWE Debut
Lesnar debuted in 2002 and quickly became the youngest WWE Champion of his time. Across multiple runs, he captured world titles, won Royal Rumbles, and headlined WrestleMania on five occasions. His career stretched beyond WWE as well. A run in the UFC brought him the heavyweight title, adding to his already rare résumé. In 2014, he delivered one of wrestling’s most shocking moments by ending The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak.Yet, away from the spotlight, Lesnar often kept things simple. “For me, none of my championships or none of my accolades, they all mean nothing, boys,” he once said. “My kids are my legacy.”That perspective now feels more relevant than ever as questions swirl about his future.
