Differently abled man beaten to death in Rohtas

Sasaram: A 28-year-old differently abled man was allegedly beaten to death after he went to meet a married woman at Baradhi village under the Mufassil police station area of Rohtas district on Friday night.

Police have arrested the woman’s husband and sent him to jail.Mufassil SHO Rajeev Ranjan Singh said the deceased, identified as Shailendra Kumar alias Shailesh Kumar, had reportedly gone to the residence of Ragini Mishra after receiving a phone call from her.Family members said Shailendra and the woman were in regular contact over the phone. On the night of the incident, he left home on the pretext of going to urinate but went to her residence instead.

Upon finding him there, the woman’s husband, Daddu Mishra, along with other family members, allegedly assaulted him. Shailendra succumbed to his injuries.After being informed, the victim’s father, Lal Badan Singh, alerted Dial 112. Police reached the spot, took custody of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram for post-mortem. “The accused husband has been arrested, and further investigation is underway,” the SHO added.
