EAM S Jaishankar met Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds in New Delhi and discussed ways to boost India–US economic cooperation.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday met Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds in New Delhi and held discussions on the potential of India–US ties and economic cooperation.

Sharing pictures from the meeting on X, Jaishankar mentioned that the interaction focused on strengthening bilateral economic ties.

“Discussed India-US economic ties and its potential," the External Affairs Minister wrote.

The visit comes at a time when the United States has imposed a 50 per cent tariff on India, which includes a 25 per cent as ‘penalty’ for buying crude oil from Russia.
