Minister for Excise & Prohibition, Tourism and Culture Jupally Krishna Rao on Tuesday visited rain-affected villages in the erstwhile composite Adilabad district.
Mr. Rao, who is the district in-charge Minister, conducted a review meeting with the officials concerned in Adilabad on Tuesday evening to assess the damage caused due to heavy rains that lashed the district over the last couple of days.
He asked the officials to enumerate the crop losses and submit department-wise reports on damage to infrastructure, including roads, in rain-related incidents in an expeditious manner.
The Minister issued directions to the departments concerned to carry out repairs to damaged roads, irrigation tanks and other facilities at the earliest.
Earlier, he visited Ankoli and various other rain-affected villages in the district and assessed the extent of damage caused due to the recent spell of heavy rains.
