DMK has betrayed the people of the State, alleges Edappadi K. Palaniswami

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is the party that has betrayed the people of the State, alleged AIADMK general secretary and Opposition leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami.

Mr. Palaniswami told the media in Coimbatore on Sunday that the DMK had passed a resolution at its general council meeting held in Madurai on Sunday calling the AIADMK a party that had betrayed the State.

When former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was in power and later when he took over as the Chief Minister, the AIADMK government came out with the best schemes for the people and ensured law and order in the State. Now, there is murder, theft and sexual assault cases every day. “This Stalin model rule has betrayed the people.” It is anti-people rule for the last four years, he said.

Regarding the education policy, Mr. Palaniswami said the DMK was in power at the Centre for 16 years as part of various governments. It did not take any measures then to focus on the education policy or to bring education under the State subject list. It does not care about the public when in power at the Centre. But, blames others when it is not in power, he alleged.

The AIADMK has a cordial relationship with the DMDK, he added.
