Ministers of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) are afraid of the Special Intensive Revision of the voters’ list as the bogus names they added will be deleted, said Bharatiya Janata Party State president Nainar Nagendran in Coimbatore on Tuesday.

Mr. Nagendran told journalists that in Bihar of the 65 lakh names deleted, 28 lakh people were dead, 30 lakh were not in their address and the rest had migrated. However, in Kolathur constituency in Tamil Nadu, there were 9,000 voters more. The DMK ministers fear that their winning chances will be lost (in the Assembly elections) as the bogus names they added would be deleted.

When asked about some of the families of the Karur stampede victims refusing the compensation given by the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, he said some people may not like to take financial support from others and could have returned the money for that reason.
