“DON’T EAT THE RICE AND BEANS IN BRAZIL BRO”: Los Angeles Chargers G Mekhi Becton drenched in sweat and breathless during Chiefs vs Chargers game

On September 6, MLFootball shared a screenshot of the Los Angeles Chargers guard Mekhi Becton’s Instagram story. Becton supposedly clicked a picture when he was at the hospital.

It contained a patient monitor or a vital signs monitor and a drip. Mekhi Becton, who goes by the IG username of “big.ticket73,” captioned the IG story: “DON’T EAT THE RICE AND BEANS IN BRAZIL BRO🤮🤮.”

On September 5, David Scott of The U.S. Sun reported that Becton was on the injury report on Friday with his illness, but could start the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he appeared to be struggling during the game, so he quickly made his way to the sideline to use an oxygen mask.

Becton was drenched in sweat and breathless. He did return to the game after receiving oxygen. He played most of the first half.

On September 6, Alex Katson of USA TODAY’s Chargers Wire reported on his X that Mekhi Becton was about to come on the field for that field goal, but Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh pulled him off. Either way seems like he should be back next drive.

The “2-0” probably stands for his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, winning against the Dallas Cowboys by a 24-20 score, and his current team, the Los Angeles Chargers, winning against the Kansas City Chiefs by a 27-21 score!
