US President Donald Trump claimed that Joe Biden wanted him imprisoned in a remote, high-security facility in the Florida Everglades nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz" as he toured the migrant detention center.
“Hey, Biden wanted me in here," Donald Trump said, standing alongside Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, adding, “It didn’t work out, but he wanted me in here."
Then, clearly audible under his breath, Donald Trump muttered, “That son of a bitch."
The comment, captured on video, came as Donald Trump inspected a hall filled with rows of bunk beds enclosed in metal cages- the future living quarters for detained migrants.
When a reporter asked if the temperature inside would be kept at a “reasonable" level, Donald Trump seized the moment to say, “Biden wanted me in similar conditions."

The Florida facility, built in the heart of alligator-infested swamp, has been sharply criticized by human rights organizations and immigration advocates who call it inhumane and militarized. But Donald Trump joked, “Any escapees will be taught how to outrun the alligators."
Earlier during the tour, Donald Trump and Kristi Noem turned their attention to the press, slamming CNN for a report on a new app that tracks the movement of ICE officers.
“Yeah, we’re working with the Department of Justice to see if we can prosecute them for that," Kristi Noem told reporters, adding, “Because what they’re doing is actively encouraging people to avoid law enforcement operations… We’re going to go after them and prosecute, with Pam [Bondi] if we can."

Donald Trump went further, accusing CNN of spreading “false reports" about last week’s US strikes on Iran, warning, “They may very well be prosecuted. It was totally obliterated… Our people hit the target quickly. CNN told a different story- totally false."
The visit to “Alligator Alcatraz" comes just days after Trump departed for the NATO summit in The Hague. In a moment of frustration over tensions between Iran and Israel, Donald Trump had then said, before boarding Air Force One, “They don’t know what the f*** they’re doing."
