Drug peddler from Bihar nabbed with heroin worth Rs 2.5 lakh in Itanagar

Itanagar: Police in Itanagar have apprehended a drug peddler on Sunday, an official said.Itanagar SP Jummar Basar said the accused, identified as Md Anitullah (22), was arrested following credible information regarding the activities of the accused.Anitullah is a native of Rampur, East Champaran district, Bihar, and is currently residing in Itanagar’s Ganga Market.A police team led by Itanagar SDPO Kengo Dirchi under the supervision of SP launched an operation and apprehended the accused.During a search operation, police recovered 94 plastic vials containing heroin, weighing 14 grams approximately, worth Rs 2.5 lakh, the SP said.A case under Sections 21(b)/27(A)/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the peddler at Itanagar PS.
