Drunk man feeds liquor to snake wrapped around neck on busy Tamil Nadu road

A drunk man created a nuisance in Tamil Nadu’s Dharmapuri when he attempted to feed liquor to a snake wrapped around his neck, in the middle of a busy road.

According to witnesses, the man, identified as Surya from Rajapettai, bought liquor from a Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (Tasmac) shop with the snake reportedly unconscious and was draped around his shoulders, shocking both the staff and onlookers.

Surya then first fed alcohol from the bottle he purchased while on the roadside, then proceeded to sit on the road divider with the liquor bottle and tried to pour the alcohol into the snake’s mouth.

Eyewitnesses reported that he was also showing off the snake to passersby and even kissing it.

A video of the entire incident is now in circulation, with the snake seemingly passed out throughout.

The local police were alerted and quickly arrived at the scene. Surya was detained, and an investigation has been initiated into the incident.

Last year, a drunk man in Andhra Pradesh was hospitalised after being bitten by a cobra while trying to play with it. The incident took place after the snake entered the premises of a college.

Instead of letting the reptile escape into nearby bushes, the man caught it and brought it back to the road, and started playing with it, slapping it. A video of the act went viral, showing him provoking the cobra multiple times. The snake eventually bit him. Nagaraju was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
