The School Education Department officials were urged to release the merit-cum-roster lists of the DSC-selected candidates. In a statement on Thursday, Progressive Democratic Front MLC B. Gopi Murthy said that the release of the call letters to the candidates selected in DSC-2025 in online mode had led to confusion and misconceptions that some of the qualified candidates did not receive their call letters. “It is also being said that certain candidates who were selected under open category were shown under reserved categories.

Mr. Murthy said that in order to remove the confusion and doubts from the candidates’ minds, the department officials should release the selection list along with the category-wise cut off marks. He said that students who had pursued education through distance mode and were allowed to write the DSC examinations, were now being told that they are not eligible after being selected.

Leaders of Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) also insisted on the release of the list of selected candidates to clarify the several doubts being raised by them.

The federation’s State president G. Hrudaya Raju and general secretary Y.S. Chiranjeevi said there was uncertainty and suspicion among aspirants regarding the number of candidates selected in open and reserved categories.

They said that the doubts were being raised as some candidates with lower marks had reportedly received call letters, while few others with higher marks had not received them. They also urged the government to provide an option for candidates selected in more than one post to re-exercise their preference.
