DSS complains against Kaneri mutt seer

Dalit Sangarsha Samiti Vijayapura unit has complained against Sri Adrushya Kadasiddeshwar Swami of Kaneri Mutt in Kolhapur in Maharashtra, saying he had insulted several Lingayat seers and tried to create enmity between communities.

At a public rally at Bilur in Jath taluk in Maharashtra, the seer used abusive language against Lingayat seers who are seeking recognition for Lingayat religion, it said. The complaint also said that he said he would beat them with slippers, and made several statements that are aimed at creating enmity between communities. Appropriate legal action should be taken against him, the complaint said. Channu Kattimani, district president and others met the Ramanagouda Hatti, additional SP and other officers and submitted a memorandum.
