Police in Dumka seized 908 litres of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) intended for Uttar Pradesh. The consignment, hidden under vegetable crates in a pick-up truck, was being transported for smuggling into poll-bound Bihar. The driver of the vehicle was apprehended during the operation.

Dumka: The police here seized 908 litres of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), meant for sale in Uttar Pradesh, from Kathikund police station limits on Wednesday. The pick-up truck was allegedly ferrying the consignment from Shikaripara to Kathikund for smuggling into poll-bound Bihar.Kathikund police station in-charge Tirupati Kumar said the consignment was hidden in 105 cartons which were hidden under vegetable crates. The driver of the vehicle was arrested.
