Mysuru district has secured the top position in Karnataka in the creation of properties under the e-Aasthi application, issuing e-khatas to more than 50,000 properties since the launch of the e-khata Abhiyan.

As on Friday, August 22, a total of 50,022 properties in the district have been created in both the A and B registers of the application. Mysuru is followed by Belagavi (48,897 properties), and Vijayapura (40,211 properties).

In the district, Mysuru city has recorded the highest number of e-khata issuances.

In Mysuru, the e-Khata Janaspandana is organised every Friday to facilitate the process. While Mandya has issued 8,999 e-khatas, Kodagu issued 3,119, and Chamarajanagar issued 2,519.

Long queues are being witnessed outside the offices of Bogadi, Rammanahalli, Srirampura, Kadakola, in Mysuru city, besides the Hootagalli City Municipal Council, with property owners awaiting their documents. The initiative is being carried out at the zonal offices of the Mysuru City Corporation.

However, several property owners have complained about delays in the issuance of e-khatas, alleging that they are often made to run from one office to another to secure the document. An e-khata is an essential document for the registration, sale, and purchase of properties.
