A nine-member team from the Election Commission of India (ECI), led by Under Secretary Deepmala, concluded a three-day outreach programme in Kodagu, on Sunday.
A release said the visit was part of the ECI’s ongoing initiative “Visiting the Unique/Remote Polling Booths of India” aimed at strengthening electoral preparedness in geographically challenging or remote regions.
During their stay, the team visited polling stations in remote parts of the district to assess the election process preparations.
A training session was also conducted for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Madikeri, focusing on procedures and best practices to ensure smooth conduct of polls.
