ECI Results Bihar Election 2025
ECI Results Bihar Assembly Election 2025 Live Updates: Bihar is set for the counting day on Thursday, November 14, following a historic voter turnout in the Assembly elections earlier this week.
The state recorded 67.13 per cent polling on November 11, the highest turnout since 1951, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The data shows that 71.78 per cent of women voters participated, setting a new record for female turnout , while 62.98% of male voters cast their votes.
The ECI confirmed that no discrepancies or malpractices were detected during polling, and therefore no re-polling has been ordered at any of Bihar’s 90,740 booths.
The counting of votes will begin at 8 am on Thursday. As per the ECI’s protocol, the postal ballots will be counted first, followed by the electronic voting machines (EVMs) from 8:30 am onward.
The election commission will update real-time results on its official website: results.eci.gov.in.
According to the Commission’s latest guidelines, postal ballot counting must be completed before the second-to-last round of EVM counting. Postal ballots are tallied in the presence of candidates or their authorised counting agents under the supervision of the Returning Officer (RO) or Assistant RO.
During EVM counting, control units will be brought to the tables round-wise and displayed to counting agents to verify that seals remain intact and serial numbers match the entries in Form 17C (Part I).
The number of votes recorded in the EVMs will then be cross-verified with the same form. In case of any mismatch, VVPAT slips from that polling station will be counted mandatorily.
