The obituary had vital moments of Ed with Maureen – “In recent years, she spent treasured time in Cape May with her family, enjoying peaceful days by the ocean.

She also grew an unexpected love for football later in life, sharing many laughs and adventures with her beloved friend Ed Kelce and her loyal dog Butch. Together they traveled often and attended football games and concerts, and embraced every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest.” Maureen Maguire, often referred to as Ed Kelce’s girlfriend, passed away peacefully at the age of 74, surrounded by her loved ones.

During Super Bowl LVIII, Ed Kelce was interviewed by Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times. Maureen Maguire had accompanied him to Las Vegas for the finale between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

Maguire met Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, then. When Swift posed for a picture with Papa Kelce, she snuggled up to Ed. Maureen noticed it and said– “Hey! That’s my boyfriend.” Swift chuckled and struck a father-daughter pose.

In a conversation with Audacy 92.3 The Fan, the tight end’s father, Ed Kelce, revealed an incident where he could not recollect the billionaire pop singer’s name. He said, Maureen reminded him.

“When Travis has a lot of friends coming into town to go to the game, everyone meets at his house–although he’s not there. They have a shuttle that comes and picks everybody up and takes them to the game. And Taylor [Swift] comes in, walks in with a security guard, and I look at her–I had my girlfriend with me, and I mention to Maureen–Oh my god, I know this kid, but I don’t know what her name is–” Maureen then told him, “You don’t know her?
