In a major push towards sustainable industrial development in Andhra Pradesh, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a public sector undertaking under the Union Ministry of Power, has finalised a comprehensive, time-bound action plan to transform the State’s MSME sector through the adoption of advanced energy and water efficiency technologies.
According to an official release, EESL Chief Executive Officer Akhilesh Kumar Dixit, in consultation with the A.P. MSME Development Corporation, has approved an extensive implementation roadmap aimed at strengthening the long-term economic sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the State.
The initiative is expected to lower operational and maintenance costs for MSMEs, enhance industrial productivity and competitiveness, create large-scale green employment opportunities, and promote the efficient use of energy and water resources.
EESL expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for entrusting the project to the organisation during the A.P. MSME Growth Summit 2026 held in Vijayawada last week.
As part of the approved programme, EESL will conduct capacity-building workshops across industrial clusters, undertake cluster mapping and diagnostic studies in 15 industrial clusters, carry out investment-grade energy audits for 452 MSMEs and water audits for 300 MSMEs, and facilitate the deployment of advanced energy-efficient and water-efficient technologies.
