'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' has now begun to slow down at the box office and near the end of its theatrical run and the same goes for 'Thamma'. From Monday onwards, both these movies and infact even other movies like 'The Taj Story' have seen extremely dull numbers.
It seems like the Red Fort blast has affected the box office and people flocking to the cinema halls. Thamma' which had also made only Rs 80 lakhs on Friday, saw a slight upward trajectory on Saturday and Sunday, thus making Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 1.65 crore on both days. On Monday, day 21, it minted even less than 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat', which is only Rs 40 lakhs.On Tuesday, it made around Rs 70 lakhs and on Wednesday, it further dropped to Rs 45 lakhs as per early estimates.
The total collection of the film is now Rs 132.6 crore.The second week total of the Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa starrer 'Ek Deewane...' came to Rs 16.3 crore. On Friday, day 18, the film made Rs 70 lakhs. However, it saw unexpected growth on Saturday, day 19 due to holiday. It collected Rs 1.25 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, the film made Rs 1.5 crore and saw a dip on Monday, making Rs 50 lakhs. On Tuesday, it made Rs 75 lakhs. On Wednesday, as per early estimates, it has made Rs 60 lakhs.
The total collection of the film as per Sacnilk is now Rs 76.80 crore.The film’s has successfully surpassed titles such as Param Sundari, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Bad Newz, and Satyaprem Ki Katha. Next in line to beat are Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which currently sit at ₹78 crore nett and ₹83 crore nett, respectively, according to Box Office India. A ₹80 crore nett lifetime total is well within reach, and if it manages to sustain for another couple of weeks, the final figure could edge up by a few more crores.
