Ekta Kapoor teases Naagin 7, Asks fans ‘Who will be Naagin this time?’

It is no secret that television producer Ekta Kapoor is already preparing for the next season of her hit supernatural show Naagin. Fans have been eagerly waiting to know who will step into the role of the new Naagin.

On Tuesday, Ekta gave them a surprise by posting a video on her social media where she was seen talking about the show with her team.In the video, Ekta said, “Sitting with my Kyonki team, Tanu, Siddharth, and discussing Tanu’s favourite topic – Who will be Nagin?" She also teased fans by giving away a few hints. “Okay, now let me give you some hints. There are going to be two Nagins. One is Tanu; one more is being cast. We are looking at ‘Nag Devs’ also.”Ekta then turned to her followers and asked for their help in choosing the cast. She said, “Need your suggestions. Give some names. (Some of your favourite actors who we can cast.) I am going to put this as a post. So, you can put down your comments. Help me cast this show, your favourite show. For what you love me and hate me for. Please give me your comments and tell me who you would like to be.”Earlier this year, reports suggested that actress Isha Malviya might be chosen as the new Naagin for the upcoming season.

Actor Avinash Mishra also spoke about the show in a recent conversation with News18 Showsha. He confirmed that he had some discussions about Naagin 7. “For Naagin, we discussed a little. But still, we aren’t focusing on it a lot because we are currently working on Pyaar Sey Bandhe Rishte. So whatever talks were underway between me and the production have stopped for now. We are focusing on this show. Let’s see," he said.

When asked if he is still hoping to join the show, he replied, “Not actually. If it is in my destiny, I’ll get it."The Naagin franchise has been one of television’s most successful shows since its launch in 2015. The first season starred Mouni Roy, Adaa Khan, and Arjun Bijlani, and was loved by the audience. The second season also had Mouni, while Karanvir Bohra replaced Arjun as the male lead. In 2018, the third season returned with Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri, Anita Hassanandani, and Rajat Tokas.The fourth season, titled Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, featured Nia Sharma and Vijayendra Kumeria but did not perform as well as the earlier seasons. The fifth season aired from August 2020 to February 2021 with Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra, and Mohit Sehgal. Most recently, Naagin 6 had Tejasswi Prakash and Simba Nagpal in lead roles.With Ekta Kapoor teasing the next season and asking fans for casting suggestions, the excitement around Naagin 7 is only growing.
