Jamshedpur: A stray bull gored an elderly woman to death and injured 12 other people, including three individuals, who are undergoing treatment at the hospital. A 60-year-old lady, Soma Sarkar, a resident of Subash Colony under Olidih police station limits, was trampled to death by the bull in the early hours of Thursday.
The woman was on her morning stroll with her husband near her house when the bull suddenly came from behind and attacked her, the victim’s family told policeThe neighbours rescued the woman and rushed her to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), but she succumbed to the injuries on the way. The same bull ran amok in Sankosai, Mango, on Wednesday, injuring around a dozen people. Three people, Guna Ram Tudu (28), Chandeswar Prasad Gupta (52), and Azadi Sahu (66), were admitted to MGMMCH with multiple injuries. Gupta was shifted to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) for further treatment as he sustained grave injuries.
His condition is critical. "One woman died from the bull attack, and injured people are undergoing treatment for their injuries," said Olidih police station in-charge, Deepak Kumar Thakur.
