Election Commission Allows 12 Alternative IDs for Ghatsila Assembly Bypoll Voting

Jamshedpur: Ahead of the November 11 voting to the Ghatsila assembly bypoll, the Election Commission mandated 12 photo identity proofs besides electors’ photo identity card (EPIC).DEO Karn Satyarthi said, “Besides EPIC, 12 other documents can be used as ID proof to cast vote, provided the respective voter’s name is mentioned on electoral roll.” Voters can use passport, driving license, employee service card of PSUs, photo attached pass book of public sector banks and post-offices, PAN card, NPR card, NREGA card, Smart Health card, Aadhaar, pension card, among others.
