Elon Musk does not get invited to Donald Trump's dinner at White House for tech CEOs

President Donald Trump is set to host a dinner for two dozen high-profile tech and business leaders in the newly-renovated

Rose Garden. According to a report, the guest list includes top executives such as Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Notably, Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO, is not on the invite list. Musk had served as a special government employee and a top Trump adviser earlier this year before a public feud with the President.Citing an invite list, The Hill reported that the gathering will follow a separate White House event on AI hosted by first lady Melania Trump.“The Rose Garden Club at the White House is the hottest place to be in Washington, or perhaps the world," The Hill quoted White House spokesperson Davis Ingle as saying. “The president looks forward to welcoming top business, political, and tech leaders for this dinner and the many dinners to come on the new, beautiful Rose Garden patio,” he added.

Oracle CEO, Google co-founder and OpenAI president also invited

Other notable attendees for the event include Google founder Sergey Brin and CEO Sundar Pichai, Oracle CEO Safra Catz, and Blue Origin CEO David Limp. Also on the list are Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and OpenAI president Greg Brockman, along with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.The roster of attendees also features prominent founders and venture capitalists, including Vivek Ranadive, founder of Tibco; Shyam Sankar, chief technology officer of Palantir; and Alexandr Wang, founder of Scale.ai. David Sacks, the White House czar for AI and cryptocurrency, is also slated to attend. Additionally, Jared Isaacman, CEO of Shift4, will be there after Trump withdrew his nomination for him to lead NASA in June.Many prominent tech leaders have worked to strengthen their relationship with Trump since the 2024 election. Their companies have also adjusted policies, including ending diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to align with the new administration. Zuckerberg, Pichai, and Altman attended Trump's inauguration, and Tim Cook visited the White House to announce investments in US manufacturing.Other business leaders confirmed to be attending include Jason Chang (CSBio), Nathalie Dompé (Dompé Pharma), Dylan Field (Figma), John Hering (Vy Capital), Sunny Madra (Groq), Chamath Palihapitiya (Social Capital), Mark Pincus (Zynga), Jamie Siminoff (Ring), and Lisa Su (Advanced Micro Devices).The event will be the first to take place in the Rose Garden since its renovation, which was completed in early August. The project replaced the lawn with a stone patio, and added tables, chairs, and umbrellas similar to those at Trump's Mar-a-Lago property in Florida.
