Elon Musk’s SpaceX finally managed to successfully launch its 10th Starship flight after two failed attempts and a lot of delay. Originally scheduled to launch on Monday (August 25), the flight was cancelled two times due to multiple reasons. The 10th Starship flight lifted off on August 26 at 6:30 p.m. CT from Starbase, Texas. “Starship’s tenth flight test lifted off on August 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. CT from Starbase, Texas, taking a significant step forward in developing the world’s first fully

. Every major objective was met, providing critical data to inform designs of the next generation Starship and Super Heavy,” said the company. The mock satellites—non-functional but built to simulate the mass and dimensions of operational

units—were released during the upper stage’s coast phase. According to SpaceX, the simulators were designed to demise safely upon reentry, ensuring no long-term debris was left in orbit.

mechanisms and assessing how future Starlink V3 satellites might behave in real-world conditions. While the satellites themselves were inert, their release marked a critical step toward operational readiness for Starship’s role in expanding SpaceX’s global broadband network.Other flight objectives included:

  • Raptor engine relight tests in space
  • Heat shield evaluations using new tile designs
  • Landing burn trials with the Super Heavy booster over the Gulf of Mexico

Though neither stage was recovered, SpaceX hailed the flight as a success, noting that valuable data was collected to refine future launches.

What Elon Musk said of successful Starship launch

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk also congratulated the team at SpaceX on the successful launch. Musk shared a post on social media platform X and wrote, “Great work by the SpaceX team!!’.
