Encounter breaks out between security forces, terrorists in J&K’s Pulwama district

A gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces on Wednesday in the general area of Chhatru, a remote village in the Tral tehsil of Pulwama district.

Taking to X, White Knights — the official account of the 16 Corps of the Indian Army — shared details of the incident. The post said: “In an intelligence-based operation launched in coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police early this morning, alert troops of the White Knight Corps established contact with terrorists in the general area of Chhatru.”
